BSE Sensex posted mild gains of 52.01 points, or 0.08 per cent, to settle at 67,519, while NSE's Nifty50 added 33.10 points, or 0.16 per cent, to end at 20,103.10 for the day.
The 30-share BSE Sensex pack surged 304 points or 0.44 per cent to hit an all-time high of 67,771, while the NSE Nifty moved 97 points or 0.47 per cent up to scale a fresh peak of 20,168. Broader market (mid- and small-cap) shares were positive as Nifty Midcap 100 climbed 0.91 per cent and small-cap gained 1.23 per cent.
Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 33 points, or 0.16 per cent, higher at 20,179, hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Thursday.
BSE's barometer Sensex gained 245.86 points, or 0.37 per cent, to settle at 67,466.99, while NSE's Nifty50 gained 76.80 points, or 0.38 per cent, to end at 20,070 for the day.
The domestic indices were dragged by banks, financials, automobile, metals, technology and consumer durable stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 159 points or 0.24 per cent to trade at 67,062, while the NSE Nifty was down 36 points or 0.18 per cent to trade at 19,957.
Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 43.50 points, or 0.22 per cent, higher at 20,073.50, hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Wednesday.
BSE's barometer Sensex gained 94.05 points, or 0.14 per cent, to settle at 67,221.13, while NSE's Nifty50 shed 3.15 points, or 0.02 per cent, to end at 19,993.20 for the day.
The domestic indices were dragged by metals, state-owned banks, consumer, automobile and energy stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 105 points or 0.16 per cent to trade at 67,021, while the NSE Nifty was down 55 points or 0.28 per cent to trade at 19,941 after scaling an all-time high of 20,110.
Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 11.50 points, or 0.06 per cent, higher at 20,129.50 hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Tuesday.
The 30-share BSE Sensex pack rose 265 points or 0.40 per cent to trade at 66,864, while the NSE Nifty moved 87 points or 0.44 per cent up to trade at 19,907. Broader market (mid- and small-cap) shares were positive as Nifty Midcap 100 climbed 0.64 per cent and small-cap gained 1.29 per cent.
Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 16 points, or 0.08 per cent, lower at 19,922, hinting at a negative start for the domestic market on Monday.
BSE Sensex jumped 333.35 points, or 0.50 per cent, to settle at 66,598.91, while NSE's Nifty50 gained 92.90 points, or 0.47 per cent, to close at 19,819.95 for the day.
Nuvama said FTSE will be adding HDFC Bank in three tranches, with each quarter witnessing around $500 million of inflow. Sensex (quarterly rejig) weight up will result to $102 million into the stock, it noted.

Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 24.50 points, or 0.12 per cent, higher at 19,792, hinting at a positive start for the domestic market on Friday.
Sensex surged more 385.04 points, or 0.58 per cent, to settle at 66,265.56, while NSE's Nifty gained 116 points, or 0.59 per cent, to close at 19,727.05.
The 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 185 points or 0.28 per cent to trade at 65,695, while the NSE Nifty was down 57 points or 0.29 per cent to trade at 19,554. Despite weakness in the headline indices, broader markets (mid- and small-cap shares) were positive as Nifty Midcap 100 rose 0.31 per cent and small-cap climbed 0.40 per cent.
Nifty futures on the NSE International Exchange traded 1 points, or 0.01 per cent, higher at 19,626, hinting at a flattish start for the domestic market on Thursday.
